The Labour Party has collaborated with the Commission against domestic violence regarding the worrying issue of domestic violence cases that are continuously hidden.
Labour Party spokesperson for Family and Equality, Justyne Caruana, said that the fact that many cases are still hidden, stops us from seeing the bigger picture when it comes to the situation in our country.
It is a fact that more domestic violence cases are being reported however, however a study needs to be done on how many women are not reporting domestic violence and why.
"In order for a victim of violence to come out and be brave, the authorities must do everything possible to reassure and support victim", said the Labour Party Spokesperson expressing the

Party's solidarity with the victims.
She concluded by appealing to the authorities to amend the current laws and to better protect victims, by ensuring that cases like these are seen urgently in front of the courts.
